__Course Objective__

The objective of Integrated Algebra I is to provide incoming freshman with a strong review of basic math operations (add/subtract/multiply/divide) and fundamental math skills including: multiplication tables, fractions, decimals, and percents. All of these skills will be learned without a calculator, and will occupy the first semester. Once these skills are mastered, the course will move into an Algebra I sequence for the second semester to prepare students for the OGT.

__Grading Policy__

Tests – 40% of grade

Notebook- 40% of grade

Homework Quizzes - 20% of grade

- Notebook Requirements
- Everything must be dated – assignments, problems of the day, notes, homework, and tests and quizzes.
__Dates for problems of the day and notes are to be in the LEFT MARGIN AREA__. - Everything must be
__in order by date, front to back.__That means your most recent work should always be__in the back__of that section. - In your problem of the day and notes section,
__do not start a new page each day__. Instead, start where you left off the day before,__even if it is on the back of the page__. You are expected to use the front and back of your paper. This prevents your notebook from getting full and cluttered. - Every homework assignment should be dated and have the assignment written at the top of the page. The date must be clearly visible.
- All tests are to be corrected on a separate sheet of paper, labeled “Test Corrections” at the top of the page. The page goes immediately after the test in the test section. You are to correctly rework any problem you missed any points on, including steps.
- Pages cannot be falling out, use the hole reinforcements to help with this. The notebook must be
__neat and organized__. You will be graded on the neatness and organization of the notebook. - All steps and work must be shown. Points will be deducted if assignments and problem of the days only have an answer with no steps.
- Work hard to make this notebook look good – it is 40% OF YOUR GRADE!!
