The Vinton County Local School District was formed some 51 years ago
with the merging of Allensville, Hamden, McArthur, Wilton and Zaleski School
Districts. Vinton County Local School District encompasses 12 townships which
makes up 614 square miles.
The VCLSD buildings are located amongst the rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio and is a
rural community housing the VCHS opened in 2000, VCMS opened in 2007, both
Central and South Elementaries opened in 2007 and West Elementary opened in
2008.
Our mission is to prepare ALL students for the 21st Century and
