Mr. Kight and I are sharing the classes for the remainder of the year on a three week rotation basis. They have been separated by whether or not they are taking the OGT in March. Those who passed it in October will be working on projects during their time with me.
Our first project was researching the careers that interested us and learning more about what is needed to get a job in that field. We will finish our time planning a budgeted vacation and learning how to use maps. GPS is great, but it is easy to lose our sense of direction and location if we don't see the big picture at a whole sometimes.
In later rotations, this group will work on data and statistics through info that we gather ourselves. We will also work on geometry and spacial sense as we design blueprints for a simple home.
The other group will do a lot of focused learning as we strive to pass the OGT. After the March test is over, we may work on a project in that group as well to wrap up our last three week rotation.
