Hello and welcome to Vinton County High School! My name is Joshua Tripp and I’m very excited to be joining the Viking team this year. It has been very clear from my first interactions with staff and community members that Vinton County High School is part of a very special community. Community involvement in the development and success of programs is crucial to the success of our students, which is what I believe has contributed to the success of the students at VCHS so far.
VCHS has a rich offering of courses to meet the needs of students and their post-secondary careers. We offer courses that will prepare students for college through Advanced Placement Courses and courses of study to meet the needs of students that enter trade industries and acquire industry certifications while in high school.
VCHS also offers a variety of clubs and organizations that students are encouraged to participate. There are options for any area of interest from Business Professionals of America to the YCAT (Youth Climate Action Team). Please explore the excellent clubs and organizations available at Vinton County at http://www.vinton.k12.oh.us/ClubsOrganizations.aspx
VCHS has exceptional sports teams that have countless awards that span decades. We are very proud of the hard work and dedication that our students put into promoting school pride. Please be sure to join us at a sporting event this year!
All of these things make VCHS a great place to learn. At VCHS, we will all work tirelessly to make sure each student achieves their personal best and is prepared for a post-secondary life. It takes a village to raise a child so I thank you for being part of that village whether you are a parent, teacher, staff, or community member. I hope you understand the importance you play in the development and success of our students!
Please feel free to call or email me anytime with questions, concerns, or suggestions to make VCHS an even better school.
