On October 4th Spanish Club hosted Tamale Day in honor of Hispanic heritage month for the students in Spanish class and staff at VCHS. We invited the owner of Nixtamalized, Michelle Wasserman, who presented a wonderful presentation on the origin of tamales, how they are made and their small athens business. Every student go to enjoy their own tamal made out of verde chicken, potato chorizo or garden veggie. Teachers placed orders for Tamales and Spanish club officers delivered them at lunch. The event was a great cultural experience for our students!
