September 25 Newsletter

Hello VCMS Families!
Fall is here and the school year is moving right along!  We are beginning week 6!   This week is Start with Hello (SWH) week.  The purpose of this is to educate our students on the importance of being nice and including everyone.  Social Isolation is a contributing factor to school violence. The more we can do to educate our kids on these issues the safer our schools will be.  Please have conversations with your child about ways they can help reduce social isolation at VCMS and in our  community.

School Report Card Information
We are very excited to share our State Report Card information with you!  We are very pleased at how much progress our students displayed
Highlighted are the areas of the State Report Card that our building has direct control over. We are absolutely thrilled how we have improved and performed over the past few years. The work of our students and staff is second-to-none in this part of Ohio!

Thank you all for the role you have played in making this happen.

8th Grade:
Mrs. Wells would like to organize a book club during this academic school year. She is currently working on the details of the club and hopes to have something finalized by the Thanksgiving holiday. Please talk to your child about the limited number of spots available; tell them to keep their ears open for sign-ups in the coming weeks.

Mrs. Rafferty's class:
Mrs. Rafferty's class walked to Campbell's Market last week to purchase items to be used in their classroom.  The students enjoyed their walk and learned valuable social and life skills.

REMEMBER:  Mrs. Rafferty and Ms. West's classes collect Box Tops for Education.  Please send them in with your child.
