Central Elementary School receives Ohio Department of Education Momentum Award recognition
The Central Elementary School from the Vinton County Local School District was recognized at the Ohio School Boards Association's Southeast Region Fall Conference.

The confrerence took place a Alxander Local's Elementary School in Albany on September 28.

The Momentum Award is presented byt he State Board of Education and recognizes schools for exceeding in student growth for 2016.  Schools must earn straight "A's" on all Value-Added measures on the report card.  The school district must have at least two Value-Added sub-groups of students, which includes gifted, lowest 20% in achievement and students with disabilites.

The Southeast Region is compromised of 18 counties representing 84 school districts.
