Welcome to Vinton County Middle School!

Dear Students, Parents, Families, and Community:

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to the 2026-27 school year at Vinton County Middle School. I am honored to serve as your new principal and to become part of a community that takes great pride in its schools, its traditions, and most importantly its students.

Middle school is both a challenging and exciting time in a young person's life. It is a time of tremendous academic growth, personal discovery, and character development. Our responsibility is not only to prepare students for high school but also to help them become confident, responsible, and compassionate citizens who are ready to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world.

As principal, I believe every student deserves to feel safe, valued, challenged, and supported every day they walk through our doors. When students know they belong, they are willing to take academic risks, build meaningful relationships, and reach their full potential. My commitment is to foster a school culture where high expectations are paired with genuine care, where success is celebrated, and where every student has opportunities to grow.

Education is a partnership. The strongest schools are built when students, families, educators, and the community work together toward a common goal. I encourage parents and guardians to stay involved, communicate openly with our staff, and be active partners in their child's education. Together, we can create an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

I also believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Whether students are involved in athletics, music, fine arts, service organizations, or academic competitions, these experiences help develop leadership, responsibility, resilience, and school pride. I encourage every student to find ways to get involved and become an active part of our school community.

As we begin this new school year together, I look forward to getting to know each student, building strong relationships with our families, and working alongside our dedicated faculty and staff as we build a positive school culture where every student is challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. 

Thank you for welcoming me into the Vinton County family. I am excited about what we will accomplish together, and I cannot wait to see all that our students will achieve this year.
