Hello and welcome to Vinton County High School! As principal I believe in working with parents and our community to ensure the future success of the students of the county. We are a united staff who works to provide the best education for your students to help them navigate their roadmap to success outside of high school. That education happens in the classroom during the day and before and after school through our variety of extracurricular activities.

Here at VCHS we have a wide offering of courses that will prepare your students for life after high school. If your student wants to continue their education at a college or university, they can prepare themselves with college prep and advanced placement courses. If your student wants to enter the workforce or attend a trade school, we offer courses that will help them attain the proper certifications. No matter the route they select, the staff and administration are dedicated to their long-term success. If you want to know more about what courses we offer you can read more about them here: http://www.vinton.k12.oh.us/VCHSCourseofStudyOffered.aspx

There are all kinds of extracurricular activities for the students of VCHS to explore their interests and be active. It doesn’t matter if your student wants to participate in academic clubs or athletics, they will have a chance to build and improve important skills and knowledge, help the community, and have positive experiences that will last a lifetime. Take some time and explore our great clubs and organizations (http://www.vinton.k12.oh.us/ClubsOrganizations.aspx) and athletic programs (http://www.vinton.k12.oh.us/athletics.aspx).

Even with all of the hard work done here at VCHS to provide the best possible learning experience for your student, we are only one part of the equation. The support and guidance of families and the community is a vital factor of each student’s success and we thank you for being there for each and every Viking. Here is to an amazing year here at Vinton County High School. Go Vikings!

Best,

JJ Milliken
