Expectations for a Healthy School Year

Expectations for the Safe and Healthy School Year

Students will:

  • Walk on the right side of the hallway at all times, proceeding to the end of the hallway and making a U-turn if necessary to get to their classroom

  • Sanitize their hands when entering and exiting their classrooms

  • Wash their hands frequently throughout the school day

  • Maintain social distancing of 3ft apart whenever possible

  • Leave book bags and extra school supplies in their lockers

  • Wait patiently whenever necessary to ensure social distancing is maintained.

  • Communicate HONESTLY when/if they have symptoms 

Staff will:

  • Ensure students are walking on the right side of the hallway.

  • Sanitize classrooms frequently 

  • Sanitize/wash hands between classes and after any contact

  • Dismiss  students in an orderly fashion so as to not clog the doorway 

      (rows, section, etc)

  • Model the importance of these expectations.  

  • Communicate HONESTLY when/if they have symptoms 

    Parents will:

  • Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude about the health/safety expectations and the school year.

  • Check their child’s temperature prior to school and keep their child home if a temp is present.  

  • HONESTLY communicate with the school if sickness is suspected.

  • Contact the school with any questions

  • Communicate changes in contact information to the school

  • Follow morning drop-off procedures
