We are working closely with the Vinton County Health Department. We will keep you updated on any recent developments.



2023-24 UPDATED COVID-19 GUIDELINES 


If students or staff feel sick or suspect they might have Covid-19, they should do the following: Stay home and take a rapid test.

If a person tests positive, he/she should stay home for 5 days from onset of symptoms and until fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication). 


It is recommended to wear a mask for 5 days upon return.

If exposed to Covid-19, students and staff should do the following: 


For a known exposure, wearing a mask for 10 days is recommended - you should test at the first sign of symptoms.


Wear a mask while indoors as soon as you find out you were exposed - 

start counting from Day 1 


Day 0 is the day of your last exposure to someone with Covid-19

Day 1 is the first full day after your last exposure

Free Covid-19 testing kits will continue to be available at each school building and/or the health department. 


We will continue to inventory and keep as many on hand as possible.


Practice good hand hygiene… 


? Wash hands with soap and water as needed 

? Use hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available 


Continue to clean surfaces with recommended cleaning solutions per directions. 


The Vinton County Health Department will continue to offer Covid-19 vaccines.
