Our district received information about a second round of EBT in September. We made phone calls to check on our eligibility status. We were informed that we would not qualify for the second round of EBT due to our district’s plan of return which was 5 days per week, with face-to-face instruction.
We received an email letting us know that we would receive a survey the week of September 8th. We completed the survey on September 11th and easily met the September 15th deadline.
Based upon the survey responses, we did not qualify for a second round of EBT. Only qualifying districts were asked to submit additional information. Due to our responses, names were not requested. As a result, no names were submitted.
There have been many questions regarding EBT. While we are doing our very best to work with USDA/FNS to try to see if we can remedy this situation, we do not have anything final yet. The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services Bureau of Operations Chief has asked that we discourage phone calls to their office regarding the PEBT issuance.
In this challenging time, we wanted to make you fully aware of this. Calling the hotline will not produce any results. ODJFS is aware of our situation and they are working with VCLSD school officials to find possible solutions.
