Vinton County Local School District recently competed in the first University of Rio Grande's All-Abilities Fall Invitational, an event formerly hosted by Special Olympics Ohio and then Special Skills Sports Camps. This year marks the district's tenth year participating in these track and field events, collectively. A milestone made possible by Kristen Ross, who established the district's organization and has served as the coordinator throughout its decade of growth. Twenty athletes across the district, along with fourteen youth volunteers and staff members, proudly represented Vinton County at the invitational this year, earning several medals and inspiring the community to build a better tomorrow for people of all abilities.
